Piódão

Hello!

A few months ago, we decided it was time to go on a little trip, with all the necessary precautions of course due to the COVID-19 and ended up spending a week in the Arganil area.

There’s so much to do and see so I thought I’d share it with you guys.

We stayed in a little village called Aldeia das Dez as it was quite central to where we wanted to go.

One of the first places we visited was Piódão which is an historical village. We were quite lucky to have the place for ourselves, there was hardly anyone there.

I would advise you to take comfortable clothes as it can be quite a challenge to walk around the village, the cobbled streets are quite steep and there’s also a lot of stairs.

We ended up having lunch at the first restaurant we found as there’s not that many places to eat. The food was excellent and everyone was incredibly friendly.

The best thing for me about this place, is that it’s not a totally touristy village, real people still live in it and you can definitely feel a sense of community.

Definitely recommend visiting Piódão!
